Indeed, my mother makes fudge each Christmas and Easter for all the family (except me, as I don't like it) with condensed milk, butter, sugar and golden syrup. Yuck. Far, far too sweet for my taste. Tablet, I imagine, is made similarly, but boiled very slightly longer for a harder setting point?
