I take the view that anyone slashing someone across the face with a riding crop is at the very least reckless about the risk of putting their eye out and at that point if I'd been Karen I hope I'd have had the good sense to go, "Sorry, Edwin; this ends NOW" and rushed back to Oxford to hope the Dean and my moral tutor could salvage the position from the point of view of my Oxford career (and that whatever my parents thought of divorce, at least my siblings would sympathise!).
