I hadn't thought of that, but now it reminds me of 'Penny on her Own' by K M Peyton where the dentist stretches a point, but needs a retrospective parental signature for a filling. It did seem unlikely that they would all get the work done on the spot so it is remiss of Mrs M to leave it so late in the holiday. Mrs Kent
