Oh, and the dialogue is often brilliant too. Particularly catching the way everyone is slightly different depending on who they're talking to. Some especially so of course, like Ginty, but also the differences between the way Nicola talks to Miranda or Tim or Lawrie. And the group scenes, like the fight over Nicola and Lawrie in End of Term or the Marie Dobson letter writing.
