I have a cat called Tessa, but that was before I rediscovered the books; I just like the name. I haven't read all the books yet so I don't know about Talisman.

I'm delighted that my mother was not alone! I wonder how many Nicolas were named for N Marlow. It was after all very rare as an English name before AF used it.
