I happened to be poking about on Wikipedia, and I came across this photographic agency, which happens to have a Peter Marlow on its list. I find this an amusing coincidence, especially considering that our own P. Marlow seems less than keen on remaining in the Navy forever, and could well change his career to something he finds more enjoyable.

I love finding things like that. There was a Tim Marlow presenting something or other on TV a while back, which led my thoughts to civil partnerships!

She could be Mrs. Peter or Mrs. Giles. ONe thing I'm fairly sure of, if she and Lawrie formed a civil partnership, Tim wouldn't change her name.

Anyone found a Mrs. Ronnie Merrick? If so, is her first name Rowan or Virginia? :-)

Yes, my first thought was "but why has she changed her name" - I see her far more with Lawrie than with Peter or Giles though. Much more plausible! Also, if she wouldn't change her name for Lawrie, she's unlikely to for P or G, so sadly that route looks entirely out. It could be in homage though. Or if she was rebelling against her family by disregarding Keith.

I've found a Mrs Merrick (http://www.longview.k12.wa.us/mont/Faculty/Assorted%20Faculty/Merrickpage.htm") who looks wholesome and teaches Home Economics.

I can only find one Ronnie Merrick, and he was impersonating Marvin Gaye in a "Stars in their Eyes" contest in Las Vegas. Hmm. Bit of a long shot, perhaps?

There's a film actress called Jane Merrick. She played the French princess, affianced to a deceased Prince of Wales, mistress to the King, in Lion In Winter
