I love the notion of Pam and Molly perhaps having been taught at home. I don't recollect offhand any mentions of Pam's schooldays, and surely she's not an Old Girl at Kingscote? That, I presume, would merit a mention.
(My personal favourite is for EVERYTHING to have both a Doylist and a Watsonian explanation, but if put to it and asked to choose, I'd go for Watsonian too: nothing will take the delights of headcanon from me! And headcanon is the mechanism of Watsonian problem-solving. ;)
