I agree that it's a pity we don't see more of Pam Marlow. All of this is evidently going to be a huge unheaval for her, but we never really see her thoughts on it. She'll be more developed later, but I suppose Forest hadn't quite cottoned on to the fact that she was writing books in which all the parents needed to be people too ;-)
