I'm with you on Giles and Rowan.

However I beg to differ about Peter being sympathetic to others' fears, & especially with the passage I think you are backing it with ...in FL Chapter 5 Peter pushes Lawrie in (obviously more of his exposure treatment) after he's said he'll tell them all "at supper what a feeble funk she was". Very unfairly, his treatment works for Lawrie (unfair because it doesn't work for him) and then he turns into an "unexpectedly patient coach".

I think he does touch on others' fears in a getting in first kind of way - Ginty might call him on it later, but not at the moment, and in general the others are too kind: recognising the difference between his fears and Ginty's pseudo phobia.
