Yes, me too! The correct way to say "indefatigable" was puzzling and illogical given that it's faTIGued. I remember using "epitome" out loud for the first time and people laughing but as I was the class clown, I got away with grinning as if if it was deliberate; we often deliberately mispronounced words for fun which was lucky because I was mortified inside.
