I think there's a difference between being good with fairly happy, well balanced children who are at a party and will be handed back to Ma & Pa at the end of the event and being good with a bunch of kids who have recently lost a parent and whose other parent doesn't seem to have any clue about their likes or personalities.
A few hours with a bunch of tinies in party frocks - or even junior siders subject to school rules - is vastly different to "you're not my mum and I WANT MY MUMMY!!!!!"
