Sorry - I didn't put it well - I didn't mean "feudal" in a critical sense, I meant that Rowan and Nicola in particular have a view of the farm maybe more as a community, and where the landowner has some kind of responsibility to everyone who lives there, and not just to make money and think about their own selfish interest.
