I keep meaning not to post, but I guess I am addicted. I will just keep off Patrick for a while, as I don't agree with much of what's being said. I agree I can't quite image the scarlet uniform. The most famous scarlett uniform is the Chelsea pensioners; it must look slightly odd on Kingscote girls, but maybe it isn't actually bright red, but slightly modified red. I can pretty much picture Ginty's Dior like strapless gown, and Miranda's pleated silk, but some of AF's descriptions of clothes are slightly hard to imagine
