I think school reputations count for little. I attended an all-girls public selective high school which I was told by others once at university was a "notorious breeding ground for lesbians".
I WISH!* The tales told elsewhere about how teachers took aside the students so inclined "and introduced them to the lifestyle" were, sadly, false.
*Obviously, I jest -- actual instances of teachers having sex with students are horrific.
