London vs. country.

We are told in Falconer's Lure and later books that Nicola would rather stay in London than move permanently to the country. Given that she enjoys so much at Trennels - hawking, riding Buster, being friends with Patrick, whereas some of the others - Lawrie or Ann for example don't have such obvious interests, I wonder what she most missed about London. I don't myself know the areas of Hampstead/Primrose Hill that the Marlows lived in.
I do like her admission to herself in Peter's Room that it's a mild preference rather than a Bronte-like pining though.
Any thoughts?
