I've read it. I liked it (though I was a bit uneasy about what felt like class-bashing, or rather anti-lower-middle-class stuff: that Kathy's class position and her moral failings were somehow seen as being related to each other in a rather snobbish way - I'd be interested to see what you did with this in a crossover fic, especially since we've already seen Patrick in sustained interaction with non-upper-middle-class characters [in The Thuggery Affair] and he seems to rather like a bit of rough). I love the characterization of the baby, especially since lots of writers don't bother to characterize babies at all. Overall, I guess I think of it the same way as Diana Wynne Jones's Fire and Hemlock: there are some amazing bits in it, particularly to do with emotions and The Consequences Of One's Actions, but I didn't think it was as good as the author's best work.
