I don't know if anyone else has spent any time wondering how the tune went for this carol. I always put it to "All Glory, Laud and Honour", which I think wasn't too far out. Anyway, if you're interested, the tune can be found on "www.cyberhymnal.org", under D for Day.

Hmm...I think I imagined it a bit more triumphant sounding than that! Though maybe it would be played on a proper organ... :)

I always sang it with my own made up tune, and then a while ago looked up the real one and was a bit disappointed. Mine was much more triumphant, too! And I still always hear mine when I re-read it.

I have a tune in my head for A Day Of Glory but I don't know whether it's the right one, one I borrowed from elsewhere or one I made up.

Ditto for Holy Child Of Maiden Mother, though I suspect I borrowed that from somewhere as the tune's slightly too long for the words.

Actually, after days of trying to work it out, I've worked out what I was singing A Day Of Glory to - it's Stand Up, Stand Up for Jesus.

Me too. It fits rather well, I've always thought.
