As
ankaret has already noticed, we've added tags to
trennels to index the entries. I've also spent far too much time started tagging entries to the community, as has
jediowl. We hope this will make it easier for people to find previous discussions; if you click on a tag in the list at the left-hand side of the main page, you'll be taken to a page listing all the entries tagged with it.
Any member can tag any entry, so please feel free to do so, whether it has no tags or you think a useful one is missing. Click on the 'edit tags' button and use one or more of those in the list of community tags for it. The list includes all the book titles and main character names, plus a slightly random selection of themes and subjects. It doesn't matter if an entry has a lot of tags (if all the Marlow children get mentioned, for example). When you create a new entry, you'll now be able to tag it before posting.
Only mods can add new tags for a community, so if there's something you think we need and it's not on the list, comment here and we'll consider adding it.

bit. The green arrows take you backwards and forwards to other entries, the red heart is to add something to your memories (except memories doesn't seem to work properly these days), the pencil is 'edit entry' (you may not be able to see that) and the even tinier pencil with tag allows you to edit the tags for that entry.
Or from the main
I hope that helps!

Date: 2006-05-23 01:53 pm (UTC)I can only see the arrows and the heart.
And I can't read the list at the bottom of each post, so I'll just have to go on clicking wildly and hoping that I'm clicking the right one
Re: editing tags
Date: 2006-05-23 02:36 pm (UTC)Go to the profile page and click where it says 'To join this community, click here' near the top of the page & follow any further instructions.
Then you'll be able to tag posts if you want, and to post entries to the community as well as to your own journal.
(Sorry about the double comment earlier; I screwed up the html tag.)
