Any interest in writing Forest drabbles?
Aug. 15th, 2006 03:02 pmA while back I wrote enthusiastically to
jediowl saying 'why don't we have a ficathon on Trennels like the one they just had on
bujold_fic?' and she, very reasonably, said 'Not enough writers, and too complicated to organise, IMO - what about a drabble [1] challenge, instead?'
So, I was wondering whether we could have one post where people comment with drabble ideas they'd like to see written, and another post where people comment with drabbles they've written, either to those prompts, or just because they've had a Marlow plot bunny floating around forever. I know a lot of us write, whether it's in this fandom or others, and if it was just kept to two posts it wouldn't clutter up the friends pages of people who don't care for fic. Or perhaps it would be better to put the drabbles in their own posts, so that anything post-watershed could be put behind an LJ-cut.
What do you think?
[1] drabble: a 100-word story, though people seem to just use it to mean 'a short-short story' these days, and I've got no particular interest in checking up to see that people keep to exactly 100 words.
