Forest Conference next year

A reminder was posted to the Girlsown mailing list recently to say that there are still some places left on the Antonia Forest Conference in Bournemouth next summer (30 June - 2 July) - but how long there will be is another matter. So if you haven't booked - don't leave it too long or you may be disappointed!

Bournemouth

A friend of mine wanted badly to go to this, but can't possibly afford it, even if she stays with friends, because the day booking alone is so expensive on top of the journey.

It seems a pity - couldn't a cheaper hotel have been found? Granted that travelling is sometimes more difficult in the winter, perhaps a later date would have been cheaper?

Quite possibly - it does seem quite expensive to me (though staying in any hotel always seems expensive to me). But I've had nothing to do with the organisation, so I don't know what the choices were.

Am thinking about going to this but the cost is on the high side... I'd be interested to know who at trennels is going/thinking about going?

Well, me definitely! (have already started to save up.) Pretty sure slemslempike and ajhalluk are going to be there, and I think tabouli is hoping to come as well.

Well, if tabouli's prepared to come all the way from Australia I've got no excuse! Also, I couldn't make the London day and I really regretted not going.
